Picnic
In this fun game, children take turns drawing a picnic table card that tells them how many animal friends and picnic items to place at the table. While playing, children practice counting out the right number of items and making sure the numbers match.

Pedagogical Info
Once young children have learned how to count the number of items in a group (enumeration), the next step will be producing a specific number of items, or counting out a specific number of items. This is more challenging than enumeration for a few reasons:
- The child needs to remember the specific number he or she needs to reach
- At the same time he or she needs to keep track of the current number of items that have been selected
- The current number of items selected needs to be compared with the target number
- Once the target number of items has been reached, the child needs to stop adding items.
